My Vision
Since my first backpacking trip at age 9, I've felt a love for nature. There's something about the vastness and simplicity of the outdoors that has always left me yearning to return, reminding me of the relative size of my struggles. I used to sit by the creek, watching the constant rush of the water, enjoying the idea that, regardless of my challenges, that stream would keep flowing. It allowed me a way to let go and find perspective.
Once it hit me, however, that the stream might be struggling with its own health and survival, my perspective changed and along with it, some of the calm that I once associated with its powerful presence.
With that, I was driven to take action around mitigating climate change, and to apply my experience and passion for working with people. I tapped into my deep commitment to support and empower the eco-conscious visionary to be who s/he wants to be, and to do more effectively that which he wants to do to make a difference for our world. To secure this future, it's going to take a lot more than just changing our light bulbs and recycling our bags. We need big changes. We need people who are willing to take risks, to open themselves to the unknown, to use the power within and around them for the good of all of us--and for our planet that nourishes all life. And I am ready with hand and heart to guide those risks.
But I know it's not easy - facing the bigness of this issue, knowing where to find hope, if it even exists, where to begin, or how to deal with the emotions that come up in the process. It is this suffering that I hope to ease, such that people might be freed up in some way that their new-found freedom benefits all life on this planet.
I'm impassioned to work with other conscious visionaries, who, like me, see an opening. They may not recognize their power or live from their potential, but they have hope and a strong belief that commitment, community and forward momentum can get us to where we need to be.
Something happens when someone desires something deeply and commits to makes it real. Magically, who they are is transformed. It is a powerful and awe-inspiring experience. To coach someone, and share that journey with them, is deeply satisfying, and serves to inform the foundation and mission of my work.
